CZ owners already know the value of a well-made rifle at a fair price, and many of them are looking for a light hunting rifle for a younger or smaller shooter in the family. Alongside the CZ lineup we carry the Fierce Mini Rogue family, a carbon-stocked hunting rifle built for youth, women and smaller-framed hunters. It fits Texas hunting well, from whitetail in Hill Country cedar to hogs on East Texas river bottoms and pronghorn out west.

The Mini Rogue pairs a carbon fiber stock with a shorter length of pull and an adjustable comb. Fierce dual-lug actions are stainless steel, or titanium on the CT models, and the CT Mini Rogue XP weighs roughly 6 lb. Caliber choices include 22, 25, 6mm and 6.5 Creedmoor, 308 Winchester and 7mm-08 Remington.

In XP form the Mini Rogue gets a carbon fiber match-grade barrel and a TriggerTech Primary ProCurve trigger; QD flush cups and two 1/4-inch stock spacers come with it.

6.5 PRC takes the 6.5 mm bullet faster than the Creedmoor for more reach on elk and mule deer, at the cost of a little more recoil. 6.5 PRC recoils more than the Creedmoors; for a first season most young hunters do better with 6.5 Creedmoor.

This rifle has a 20 in barrel. Finish: Smoked Bronze / Sonora Ambush Camo Adj C.

When a rifle is sized for an adult, a smaller shooter tends to creep forward and catch the scope on recoil. A short length of pull keeps the head back at a safe eye relief. Adjust the comb until the cheek weld puts the eye right behind the glass with no strain. Let a young Texas hunter start on 6mm Creedmoor or 6.5 Creedmoor before stepping up to a 308.
