The CZ 457 Varmint MTR is a bolt-action .22 LR rifle with a 20.5-inch heavy carbon steel barrel and a match chamber. It weighs 7.5 pounds, measures 39.7 inches overall and holds five rounds. The matte blued metal sits on a Turkish walnut stock with an ergonomic vertical grip, and the receiver has an 11mm dovetail for mounting an optic.

In Texas this rimfire target rifle suits a shooter who works on accuracy at the range or in organized target matches. It has an adjustable trigger, a two-position push-to-fire safety and bipod studs for a steady prone position, so the whole setup is aimed at precision shooting. The 60-degree bolt throw leaves room for larger scope oculars on the optic.
