The Hammer Classic is a 12 gauge side-by-side with external hammers and a case-hardened sidelock receiver. It has 30-inch chrome-lined barrels with a black chrome finish, chambers 3-inch shells and weighs 7.7 pounds. The overall length is 46 inches with a 14.5-inch length of pull, and the gun holds two rounds. A tang-mounted manual safety sits on a Turkish walnut stock.

In Texas this traditional break action suits a shooter who values period styling and a double-trigger side-by-side for field and sporting use. The splinter-style forend and walnut stock add a classic look, and the bead sight gives a simple, direct aiming reference. The black chrome barrels resist corrosion, which helps the gun hold up to regular use in damp weather.
