CZ DUTY 4.0 F

If you already run a P-10 or a 75 B, the DUTY 4.0 is the next chapter in CZ's striker line. CZ built it around a serialized internal chassis, so the fiberglass-reinforced polymer grip frame is modular rather than the registered part. The SFDA trigger is the headline: 25±4 N (5.6±0.9 lbs) pull, 9±1 mm travel, 4 mm reset. The slide takes red dots directly, no plate, and keeps fixed sights. Barrel is 4 inches, not threaded.

Four models. DUTY 4.0 C: compact, 15+1 standard, 17+1 with the extended base plate, 770 g. DUTY 4.0 F: full-size, 17+1, 19+1 extended, 780 g. MS variants add a manual thumb safety. For Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and the college towns from College Station to Georgetown, this is a new-release CZ that slots between the P-10 and the all-metal Shadow 2. One note: CZ has not confirmed P-10 magazine compatibility, so do not count on your existing mags.

Full-size means 17+1 rounds, a grip that takes the whole hand and a frame 5.6 in (143 mm) high. With the longer base plate the count goes to 19+1. Empty weight is 27.7 oz (780 g), which soaks up recoil without making the gun heavy on a belt.

No manual thumb safety here. The firing pin block, trigger safety and drawbar safety handle drop safety, and the holster handles the rest. CZ sells the same gun with a thumb safety lever as the MS model.

The chassis is registered and modular, which is CZ's way of making the polymer grip swappable. The frame itself is fiberglass-reinforced polymer, 1.3 in (33 mm) wide, on a four-inch barrel and a 7.4 in (188 mm) overall length. The SFDA trigger breaks at 25 ± 4 N (5.6 ± 0.9 lbs) and resets in 0.16 in (4 mm). Optics mount directly to the slide; the photos from CZ show Holosun, Aimpoint and Shield footprints.

Who is it for: home defense, duty use, competition and long range sessions where the extra grip and two more rounds matter. If you already shoot a P-10, the DUTY is the next step in the same family, with a new chassis and the optics done right.

Texas has no purchase permit and no waiting period. Name the Texas dealer you want at checkout and the DUTY 4.0 ships to them; your dealer runs the NICS check or takes your LTC at pickup. Full-capacity magazines ship to Texas normally. The price and stock you see are confirmed live when you order, before anything is charged.

Questions buyers ask: Does the DUTY 4.0 take P-10 magazines? CZ has not confirmed that, so we do not claim it. Use the magazines made for the DUTY 4.0 until CZ says otherwise. Where does it sit next to the P-10 C and the Shadow 2? It is a polymer striker gun like the P-10 but on a new serialized chassis with a refined SFDA trigger and direct-mount optics. The Shadow 2 is the all-metal hammer gun for competition. How many rounds does the CZ DUTY 4.0 F hold? 17+1 with the standard magazine and 19+1 with the longer base plate.
